september pr video !!

greeeeetings !!!! the september pr video was aired in homeroom 2 weeks ago. it was the first pr video of the year so we would love to get your thoughts on it! some things we thought went well:  -all signups on time and scripts turned in timely -refilming went pretty smoothly even with the last minute notice (thank you all!) -the date was before a lot of september events and updates so a lot of info could be said some things we thought did not go well: -difficult to find songs that work well with the video but aren't overused and are clean -harder to hear people in general now because of masks  -filming took a long time for every commission (adjusting to remote is a little difficult) -using zoom clips can lower the quality of the video but hard to find alternatives (like the admin clip) -lighting is tricky because filming is condensed to less days and more commissions per day as opposed to last year filming one commission a day in breakout so the lighting changes quickly ...

VIRTUAL CLUB INFO WEEK

Club Info week was from 9/8-9/11 this year. Here are clinks lessons/things to consider in coming up with your feedback. Thank you in advance for your feedback.   <3 Clink - SEND OUT COMMUNICATIONS TO TEACHERS 1.5 WEEKS IN ADVANCE AND USE HOMEROOM Some teachers would have preferred we use homeroom instead of using bio to show video to freshman - EARLIER: Try to give clubs more time to create videos or online resources (quick turnarounds turned into some clubs asking for extensions) → stagger this with start of school process -First week of school: Assimilate -Second week: ICC -Third week: ICC forms due -Fourth week: CIW  - Club advisors dropped/moved schools SO at the end of year every year, have check-in process to make sure clubs are figuring out important details BEFORE the start of the next school year (update Master Clubs list, email to adviser, etc.) -We sent out a form during the staff breakfast for new staff who were willing ...

ASB Resources Video Feedback!!

hey guys! pr recently released the ASB resources video, which was made to explain to students (especially freshman) what ASB was, how it can help them, and how they can get involved. it was a pretty chill project and it wasn’t mandatory to watch or anything, but if you did see it we’d love to get some feedback! especially any notes on the content/editing for use in future years. here's the video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3z1XJjapsgc

freshmen welcome video!!

hi everyone! right before the first week of school we posted a video on the lynbrook asb youtube channel to answer common questions that freshmen may have about starting high school. the project was fairly last minute, so there are definitely parts of the video that could be improved for similar projects in the future.   somethings to keep in mind: audio/video quality filming locations editing style/any other aesthetic related aspects   getting more engagement from freshmen(for future projects if we had more time) please drop whatever feedback you have below by 8/31! thank youu :) sincerely,   the public relations commission.

Virtual Week of Welcome

Hi ASB! Virtual Week of Welcome was during the first week of school (8/17-8/24) and we'd love to hear your feedback. As a reminder, the event was strictly online, specifically instagram, and students could make a post on their stories, tag Lynbrook ASB, and have their story reposted. The spirit days were "Model Monday," "Tea-Time Tuesday," "Wellness Wednesday," "Treat-Yourself Thursday," and "Future Friday". Here are some things you might want to think about or touch upon: - participation - PR/outreach - duration of event - incentives/rewards - staff involvement - use of multiple platforms - spirit day ideas - anything else relating to virtual events Feel free to let us know what you liked about the event, what you think could be improved, and any other comments you had by Monday, 8/31. Thank you for your support! Love,  Rec  \(´▽`*)(*´▽`) /
